The launch of Weerspieelings, a CD of South African composers in Birmingham, featuring Wicomb’s  solo violin work Spelling and Sounds, performed by Lieva Starker.

Sterkfontein Composers’ Meeting facilitates the ongoing collaboration/residency with the Swedish duo Axelsson Nilsson, which will be taking place at the the NIROX sculpture park. Wicomb composed the piece Automation for the duo.

The play by Peter Weiss is opening at the Baxter Theatre on 23 February 2017. Regie and design Jaco Bouwer, original music Pierre-Henri Wicomb, Costume design Birrie le Roux, Lighting design Patrick Curtis.

[COM]POSER, a concert and presentation in Bern, 14 October. A reflection on Wicomb’s work produced during his Pro Helvetia artist residency in Switzerland.

Audio-DH is an enormous collaborative project conceived by Francisco Lopez. Fifty curators chose 250 sound artists/composers whose contributions were used as material for the software HARING to create ‘meta’ compositions premiering at the Korzo Theatre, (22 Sept.) and various listening stations in Den Haag. Wicomb’s contribution was an excerpt of his piece Me [an]D.

Three pieces of Wicomb will be performed by the Swiss improvising duo InterZones at the Chateau de Roche, Arc-et-Senans. These works are the result of modelling and rethinking the psychoanalytical milieu together with research into the contemporary opera.

The piece Me an[D] for solo piano and MIDI soundtrack will be performed at the annual computer music symposium in Utrecht by a member of  the Insomnio ensemble, Laura Sandee.

Wicomb is currently residing in Bern at the PROGR/Stadtgalerie meeting/collaborating with Swiss ensembles and musicians until the middle of October 2016.
