Wicomb’s work Role-ing for soundtrack, live electronics and acoustic piano will be performed during the Bowed Electrons 2025 conference.

Wicomb did the electronic soundtrack for the American indie film Orion, shot in Syracuse. He was also part of the sound design for the alien language and alien interface. The film will premiere at Film Quest (USA) and Trieste Science + Fiction (Italy) festivals. Jaco Bouwer was the director with actors Andrew McCarthy, Drew van Acker and Debby Ryan.


Wicomb’s piece for flute and soundtrack, Love.Lock.Nestle. will be performed at the next New York City Electronic Music Festival in June 2025; having its North American premiere and being performed by flautist Beatrix Wagner.

The original soundtrack of Wicomb of the folk horror Breathing in is released today by the Swedish record label MovieScore Media. Available on all streaming platforms.

The conceptual work Catch! Culture written for the vocal group Aurum Cantores will be performed in September at the Symposium of South African composers.

The premiere of the piece Love.Lock.Nestle. for flute and fixed media takes place on the 1st of September 2024 at the Bowed Electrons festival, Cape Town. The work will be performed by South African flautist Liesl Stoltz.
